These carrier-class switching solutions are for converged enterprise branch offices, campuses, and data centers, as well as for service provider deployments. They address escalating demands for high availability, unified communications, mobility, and virtualization within enterprise networks.
1.1 EX2200 Switches
EX2200 Switches are ideal for access-layer deployments in branch offices and campus networks, delivering performance usually associated with more expensive products.EX2200 and EX2200-C Ethernet Switches are low power; low acoustic 1 U device designed for wiring closets and open office installations.
The EX2200 offers 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T port models; the EX2200-C offers 12 ports. Both models are available with or without 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+ for supporting networked devices.
1.2 EX3300 Switches
Ethernet Switch is a compact, scalable solution for demanding converged enterprise access environments. EX3300 Ethernet Switches are flexible, cost-effective enterprise access solutions for campus and data center environments that support converged data, voice, and video.
The EX3300 offers 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and four dual-mode Gigabit Ethernet (GbE)/10 GbE SFP/SFP+ uplink ports.
1.3 EX4200 Switches
EX4200 Switches bring flexible, scalable, high-performance switching to campuses and data center top-of-rack deployments.
The EX4200 Switches support 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and optionally include full or partial IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+.
1.4 EX4300 Switches
EX4300 Ethernet Switch is a single platform offering maximum flexibility required for today’s enterprise. EX4300 1 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) switches are compact, fixed-configuration platforms that can be deployed as standalone systems or as part of a Virtual Chassis or Virtual Chassis Fabric switching architecture, satisfying a variety of high-performance campus and data center access needs.
1.5 EX4500 Switches
EX4500 Ethernet switches are compact, high-performance platforms for high-density 10 Gbps campus, data center and service provider deployments.
The 2 U EX4500 has 40 wire-speed dual GbE/10GbE ports with full Layer 2 and Layer 3 support. The 1 U EX4550 has 32 wire-speed GbE/10GbE ports with two expansion slots for optional modules that increase port densities to 48.
1.6 EX4600 Switches
EX4600 Ethernet Switch delivers a highly scalable 10GbE solution for high-density campus and data center top-of-rack deployments. The highly flexible, high-density EX4600 supports up to 72 1GbE ports, 72 10GbE ports, or 12 40GbE ports through installable modules, delivering 1.44 Tbps of Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity in a single rack unit.
1.7 EX6200 Switches
EX6200 Ethernet Switch is a scalable, resilient, high-performance wiring closet solution that provides extremely high port densities in a small form factor.
The flexible, 14 U, 10-slot chassis reserves two slots for holding redundant Switch Fabric and Routing Engine (SRE) modules, while eight slots are dedicated for 48-port 10/100/1000BASE-T line cards. Two line cards are available, one with and one without support for IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) and 802.3at PoE+.
1.8 EX8200 Switches
EX8200 modular switches offer flexible platforms that deliver the port densities, scalability, and high availability required for today’s demanding campus core and data center environments.
The same line cards work in both EX8200 models, offering a variety of 10/100/1000BASE-T, 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X, and 10GbE interfaces. An EX8208 can support 384 GbE or 64 10GbE ports at wire speed, or 320 10GbE ports in shared bandwidth applications. An EX8216 can support twice that number.
1.9 EX9200 Switches
EX9200 line of Ethernet switches provides a programmable, flexible, and scalable foundation for delivering mission-critical applications in campus and data center core environments.
Three EX9200 switches are available: the EX9204, EX9208 and EX9214. The EX9200 chassis deliver up to 240 Gbps (full duplex) per slot. A pass-through midline design supports capacity of up to 13.2 Tbps for built-in migration to next-generation deployments.
1.10 EX Series Options
EX Series options include the EX Series Redundant Power Supply for EX2200 and EX3300 Ethernet Switches, and the XRE200 External Routing Engine for managing EX8200 switches in a Virtual Chassis configuration.
QFX Series switches are high-performance, high-density platforms. QFX Series switches can be deployed as 10GbE, 40GbE or 100GbE access, spine, core or aggregation devices in Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, Multi-Chassis LAG and Junos Fusion architectures.
2.1 QFX3500 Switches
The QFX3500 is a high-performance 10GbE top-of-rack or end-of-row data center switch that can also be deployed in Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, or QFabric System architectures. The QFX3500 10GbE switch has 63 dual-mode, small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP+/SFP) ports, and four quad small form-factor pluggable plus (QSFP+) ports that deliver feature-rich Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity to high-performance networked data center devices.
2.2 QFX3600 Switches
The QFX3600 is a low-latency, high-performance 40GbE data center switch that can also be deployed in Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, or QFabric System architectures. The QFX3600 40GbE switch has 16 quad small form-factor pluggable plus (QSFP+) ports to deliver feature-rich Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity to high-performance networked data center devices.
2.3 QFX5100 Switches
The QFX5100 line of scalable, high-performance, low-latency Layer 2/3 switches is optimized for application delivery, with a powerful feature set for virtualized data centers.
QFX5100 switches are flexible data center switching platforms that provide a universal building block for multiple fabric architectures, including Juniper’s mixed 1/10/40GbE Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, Junos Fusion and QFabric® System architectures, as well as open architectures such as Spine and Leaf, Layer 3 and Open Clos IP fabrics. All QFX5100 switches support unified in-service software upgrades (unified ISSU) to deliver hitless data center operations for high availability.
2.4 QFX10000 Switches
The Juniper Networks QFX10000 line of high-performance switches delivers industry-leading scalability, density and flexibility, helping cloud and data center operators build automated data center networks that provide superior long-term investment protection.
Two QFX10000 modular chassis options are available, providing full deployment flexibility:
• QFX10008 Ethernet Switch, an 8-slot, 13 U chassis that supports up to eight line cards
• QFX10016 Ethernet Switch, a 16-slot, 21 U chassis that supports up to 16 line cards
