It scales bandwidth and distributes traffic across links based on business policies, cost, and key performance metrics.
Link availability is monitored using multiple protocols and metrics like DNS, Ping and HTTP. If it detects a link failure, the failed link is removed from link balancing. When a failed link becomes available again, it detects and resumes again. If a link fails, existing sessions on that link will be disconnected. Clients connected to the failed link can reconnect to their destination using another available link. During link failover the Barracuda Web Application Firewall maintains application traffic and VPN priorities.
